Today, June 16th, is International Day of the African Child—a day dedicated to honoring the courage of students and advocating for quality education for every child across the continent.
At our special needs school in Kayonza, Rwanda, this day hits incredibly close to home. 🇷🇼✨
For children living with disabilities in rural communities, the barrier to education isn't just a lack of school supplies—it’s often a lack of accessible classrooms, trained teachers, and sponsorship support.
When we built our brand-new school building, we did it because we believe down to our core that disability should never mean a dead end to a child's future.
But our work isn't done.
Right now, we have 40 incredible children on our waitlist. They are sitting on the sidelines, looking at our school doors, just waiting for their turn. They aren't looking for sympathy—they just want a chance to show the world what they can do.
Today, you can be the reason one of these children gets to walk into a classroom.
💛 Celebrate Day of the African Child with Action:
Sponsor a Student: Your monthly sponsorship covers specialized education, daily meals, and the dedicated care these children deserve. (email us info@livingchannel.ca or click our link to start! https://www.livingchannel.ca/donation-form)
Amplify Their Voices: Share this post to remind your friends and family that education is a fundamental right for all children.
Let’s ensure that in Kayonza, every child deserves a chance to learn—and actually gets one. 🧩❤️
