Pastor Adela Uwimana
Lead Bible Teacher·Keynote Speaker·Spiritual Program Lead
Pastor Adela Uwimana is a Rwandan-born Christian leader based in Canada. She holds a degree in Theology and brings more than 20 years of ministry experience, including pastoral leadership, missionary work and church planting. She currently serves at Hillside Church in Airdrie, Alberta, and is part of the Living Channel Services leadership team. Through the story of Joseph, Pastor Adela will share a message of faith, perseverance, forgiveness and restoration, encouraging women to find hope and purpose even in difficult seasons of life. She will lead biblical teaching, prayer and spiritual encouragement throughout the program.
Esther Gasangwa Mbatuyimana
Founder & President, Living Channel Services Foundation·Panelist
Esther is the founder and president of Living Channel Services Foundation. She has nursing education, and experience related to mental health and addictions, and extensive experience supporting people with disabilities and their families in Canada and Rwanda. At the conference, Esther will share the vision behind Beauty From Ashes and speak about women's resilience, caregiving, disability inclusion, family wellbeing and the importance of strong community support.
Julia Deimert

Julia brings more than 30 years of experience supporting individuals with special needs and their families. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology, with additional training and experience in trauma-informed practice, sensory integration and education. Her contribution will offer practical insight into the challenges and strengths of mothers and caregivers, and ways families and communities can provide meaningful support.
Welcome Kabano
Social Work Professional·Board Member·Panelist
Welcome is a social worker, educator and leader who holds a Master of Social Work specializing in Leadership and Program Design. She also serves on the Living Channel Services Board. At Beauty From Ashes, she will contribute a professional social-work perspective on women's well being, family and community support, resilience and empowerment. Her role will include helping participants better understand available services and resources and the value of seeking appropriate professional support when needed.
