Dear Friends,
This month has been truly inspiring at our school! We’re thrilled to welcome two new students: Emmanuel and Fabrice. Emmanuel, a close friend of Elizabeth, was so eager to learn that he simply followed her to school and refused to leave! Fabrice, another determined little boy from the neighborhood, couldn’t attend a regular school due to his disabilities, but he walked into our class and insisted on staying. Their enthusiasm is contagious!
What’s Happening in Class?
Our children are diving into their alphabet and counting, guided by our wonderful teacher, Alice. She uses a multisensory teaching method that truly resonates with our students, allowing them to thrive in ways that traditional schools often can’t provide. The classroom buzzes with encouragement as the kids cheer each other on, forging friendships that extend beyond school walls.
As word spreads about our school, more parents are reaching out with heartfelt pleas, asking if we can accommodate their children too. While we would love to expand our classes, we need additional funds to hire more teaching assistants to ensure every child receives the individual attention they deserve. Do do that we need more sponsors...

A Heartfelt Goodbye
It’s with a heavy heart that we share the loss of Mucyo, one of our beloved children. He is now dancing and singing in heaven with Jesus. While we rejoice for him, his family is mourning deeply. If you’d like to support his mother and siblings during this difficult time, please consider donating:

As we navigate life’s challenges—be it heartaches, disabilities, or loss—we are reminded of God’s promise to be with us through it all (Psalm 23:4, Psalm 34:18). “After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” — 1 Peter 5:10
Upcoming Opportunity: Join Us in Rwanda!
Exciting news! In June and July of 2025, we’re organizing a group to Rwanda to visit our children and help expand our program. Participants can choose to join us for 2, 4, or 6 weeks, engaging in activities like running a summer camp, training local teachers, providing rehabilitation training for parents, and constructing new classrooms alongside community members.
This is a unique chance to witness the impact of Living Channel firsthand and help change the lives of children in need. For more details, visit our website: Upcoming Events.
If you’re interested in joining us, please fill out the skills assessment survey, or simply reply to this newsletter for an information packet about the trip.
Building a Brighter Future
As our school continues to grow, we’re in urgent need of space. We’re currently fundraising for an expanded Ability Center and Sewing Coop, which will provide ongoing care, education, and rehabilitation for our children, as well as job training and counseling for their parents. To learn more about this vital project, click here: Ability Center Details.
