Channel of Hope Ability Center, one of the first schools for children with disabilities in Rwanda, needs your help! Our students and teachers are currently studying on an open porch, exposed to the elements. We are selling bricks to fund the construction of a new school building and the required perimeter fence.
Channel of Hope Ability Center
Our Ability Center has seen tremendous growth since its opening in August 2024, expanding from 3 to 9 students in less than 7 months. Our dedicated teacher, Alice, has earned the students' admiration, and Mama Elizabeth has provided invaluable support.
As our current space is becoming too small, we are negotiating for land in a more accessible location. Securing this land and building a fence around it will allow us to obtain a building permit from the district. Once completed, we will construct two new classrooms, providing a safe and secure environment for our students, regardless of the weather.

For just $10 or $11 (the price of two cups of coffee), you can help build a new school for our eager students!
How to Participate:

OR draw a simple black-and-white doodle-style picture in a rectangle 7.5” wide x 2” high.

4. Pay:
$10 per brick (cash, e-transfer, or check)

Join the Work Bee in July!
Canadian volunteers, along with students, their families, and Kayonza community members, will paint the names, messages, and pictures on the bricks. Photos of the finished walls will be posted on our website for you to find your personalized brick(s).
